The Board of Trustees of the Calvary Cemetery Association is pleased to announce the recipient of the annual God and Country scholarship is University of Dayton sophomore Sarena Kelley. The scholarship is awarded annually to a student who is a military veteran, or, a current member of the armed services. Sarena, and her husband Justin, are both veterans of the United States Air Force, recently returning to the United States from an assignment in Australia.

The award was presented at the UD Men’s basketball game against Richmond on January 19th. Rick Meade and Bill Frapwell presented Sarena with the scholarship during a second half timeout. Sarena was joined at midcourt for the presentation by her husband Justin and daughter Sophia. After the presentation Sarena thanked the cemetery, “Thank you to the generous team at Calvary Cemetery, who have given this incredible scholarship to myself and my family! Your overwhelming heart and soul beams through not only your business but the support you have given me. It is an honor to be a part of the Calvary Cemetery family now.”

Calvary Cemetery would like to thank all military members, and their families, for the sacrifices they have made on behalf of our nation.
